I've been using this device as an Ubuntu (Linux) home server for several months now. It serves various purposes such as DNS Cache, WINS, NTP, DHCP, DynDNS, SMTP relay, VPN, Syslog, SNMP and ZABBIX Monitoring (incl. MySQL server). No overheating has been noticed so far, but no CPU intensive task has been requested either. No issue has been encountered with Ubuntu/Linux except the embedded INTEL graphic card which is not supported -- this is actually a known case for all INTEL N2600 CPUs and all Linux distributions
